While in Law School, Brandon volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York and worked as a research assistant and law clerk at the Burton Blatt Institute while serving as Form and Accuracy Editor for the Journal of International Law and Commerce. After graduating Syracuse University College of Law magna cum laude, Brandon first advocated for individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits, focusing largely on Appeals from final determinations of the Social Security Administration to Federal District Court. He then transitioned to a Hearing Attorney position for the Special Funds Conservation Committee ("SFCC") defending old reopened Workers Compensation claims, and being promoted to attorney supervisor of the Syracuse and Buffalo offices of SFCC covering the Workers Compensation Board districts of Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester, which includes hearing locations also in Norwich, Elmira, Utica, and Watertown.

After changes in the Law by the New York State Legislature, Brandon departed the Special Funds Conservation Committee for an Associate Attorney position at a large international insurance defense law firm, handling cases for a wide range of insurers and employers in the area of N.Y. Workers Compensation.

In July 2016 Brandon joined Troy & Eaton to defend the rights of injured workers in proceedings before the Workers Compensation Board.
